As we say at Two Piers, “Together Is Better.”
Thea Charles, PCC (she/her)
Thea Charles is a life and leadership coach and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) consultant. She has been coaching and facilitating workshops in her private practice since 2017. Thea has been a champion of DEI since early 2000s by creating student led initiatives and programs at her college and later by using a democractic approach to change management as a laboratory leader. Thea naturally gravitates to a coaching approach and is often said to not be loudest in the room but leaves lasting impact.
As a result of previous work in a fast-paced, high-risk hospital laboratory, Thea’s approach is methodical and structured. She helps clients see the big picture when they feel stuck in the details and is open to pivoting when presented with a new perspective. Thea’s coaching specialization is around boosting confidence in skills and being aware of blind spots. In her experience, people have the answers but they just need to build confidence to trust themselves. In today’s fast-paced world, Thea emphasizes the importance of leveraging the power of the pause to gain clarity. She is an ICF accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and is Hogan 360 certified.
In addition to her practice, Thea currently serves as the VP of DEI for New England Chapter of the International Coaching Federation. As the first person to hold the role she established an engaged DEI committee and brought DEI focused education to her coach colleagues. Thea is also passionate about Introducing coaching to a broader audience and does so by volunteering her coaching services to college students at Simmons University and to organizations, like Coaching For Everyone, that work with underrepresented groups.
